Current Activities

The Sidratul Muntaha organisation was founded by a group of Swedish Muslims in 2003 with the goal of promoting a positive image of Islam in Sweden. Since then we have lectured to several thousand students at their schools and invited school classes to the mosque. We have held more than 125 different full day introductory courses on Islam and Muslim culture for more than 2500 non-Muslim professional workers all around Sweden, and delivered a large amount of seminars and workshops, inter-religious dialogues, integration projects, camps for new Muslims, and many other activities.

Through our work, we have become established in Sweden as a respected organisation, with many influential contacts, including both national and local authorities, the press, churches and other religious organisations, embassies, etc. Our activities have gotten some coverage in the media, including television and newspapers.

Up until now we have been able to keep our activities running through voluntary work, course fees, etc. but in order to expand further and properly realise our vision we are in need of more resources. Because we have had to work with other jobs at the same time in order to provide for our families, we have not been able to fully dedicate our time and effort into our activities as much as we would like to.
